3 PhD positions in Cryptography, Warsaw, Poland

3 PhD positions in Cryptography is available in the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of the University of Warsaw , Poland to work on the project "Cryptographic Protocols Provably-Secure Against Physical Attacks". The project is founded by the Foundation for Polish Science "Welcome" programme operated within the Innovative Economy Operational Programme 2007-2013.

The ideal candidates should be familiar with the probability theory, computational complexity, algebra, and number theory. The knowledge of cryptography and information theory is a plus, but is not a prerequisite. The PhD students will be expected to work on the mathematical aspects of the project.

The PhD students will be expected to work on the mathematical and theoretical aspects of the project.

Duration of the PhD
1.10.2011 - 31.05.2015 (an earlier starting date is possible for students already enrolled to the PhD program at the University of Warsaw, or at some other Polish scientific institution).

Fellowship for PhD Position
3000 PLN (net) per month (it may be possible to increase this fellowship by participating in other, related, projects).
