A job opening for the position of an electronics engineer has been announced under the FP7 Marie curie Network in Italy. The engineer will take part in the R&D activities of the project SWAP of the FP7 People, aimed at realizing a wireless sensor device capable of leveraging on different types of energy harvester. The activity of the engineer will last two years and will focus on both system integration and communication design. In particular, the engineer will cooperate with Patavina Technologies for the design and the prototype realization of the wireless device and the energy harvesting modules and for the study of an autonomous power manager capable of predicting energy availability and exploiting this information to schedule the activities of the sensor node.

Skill: Design and development skill on wireless sensor networks and their interoperability with Internet. Design and development skill for power management modules for low power and embedded devices, with a particular interest on energy harvesting techniques Preferential skills are: PCB design with CAD tools, good knowledge of C/C++, JAVA programming language.

Specific Requirements: Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the last 3 years prior the 21st of February 2011.
