A job opening for the position of Radiographic Embedded Software Developer has been announced by the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium . The job aims at the development of software controlling hardware item, managing of data transfer from hardware components to computer memory in real time.

Objective
Within the project, you will be involved in the research module for the development of a system for image acquisition during the treatment. This module will include the integration of the radiographic hardware part (including X-ray generator and digital imager) and a software part to reconstruct a 3D image from multiple projections.

As a Radiographic Embedded Software Developer, you will be in charge of the technical aspects of the transmission of the images from the hardware device to acquisition computer. You will be responsible for the development of the software controlling the hardware item and for managing the data transfer from the hardware components to the computer memory in real time.
You will also be responsible for the synchronization of the radiographic system with the motorized rotation of the treatment gantry.

Candidate Requirements
-Master degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering Sciences, or you have an equivalent experience
-You have a good mixed knowledge in Electronics and Computer Sciences (Windows) and you have between 3 and 10 years of experience in R&D
-You enjoy working on high technology-value equipment
-You are pro-active and organize autonomously your work
-You are a team player
-You have a good knowledge of English

A position within an applied research project on advanced technology in the oncology domain. This experience can be valorized as a PhD thesis or in the context of postdoctoral research. It also offers a strong connection with the industry world.
