The University of Brescia, Italy announces multiple PhD positions in Materials for Engineering for the academic year 2012-2013. The duration of the PhD is for 3 years and positions available are 4.

Program Objective

The objective of the doctorate programme is to educate skilled researchers and technicians to develop appropriate expertise to carry out highly qualified research activities in manufacturing factories, in services, institutions and universities. Several additional courses are normally offered to students according to the subjects of their graduation thesis which are required to be original. A multiskilled Faculty Board allows students to face each step considering every possible approach and establishing a multidisciplinary outlook of the research activity. 

Admission requirements

M.Sc. (or equivalent).

Admission procedures

Titles and preparation and discussion of a project with the final aim to check the attitude of the candidate to carry out scientific research. Documents necessary to upload (project proposal, presentation letter and other) are available at the website.
Foreign candidates residing abroad will have the option to take the oral exam by a telematic platform (Skype, for instance). The computer of the candidate must be equipped with a web-camera in order to ensure the identification.
When the application is submitted online, applicants must provide all the information required to activate the online connection and recognition of their identity, including a copy of an identity document.
