The Department of Sociology is offering a PhD scholarship in Sociology. The aim is to work on an IRCHSS funded project investigating the effects of family structure on family wellbeing and child outcomes. The work will examine the Growing Up in Ireland survey data and include missing data imputation and advanced modelling techniques such as, propensity score matching.
The Department of Sociology at the University of Limerick has a strong background in research methodologies and a long-standing interest in social exclusion and inequality. The department is interested in developing its research strength in the area of the family. The appointed research associate will consult with the Family Support Agency who provided funding for this project through IRCHSS.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Sociology, Economics, Demography, Social Statistics or related discipline.

- Experience of working in teams.
- Publications commensurate with stage in career.
